1. GURU SHIKHAR, ABU

Guru Shikhar peak of Arbuda Mountains is the highest peak in Rajasthan. This highest peak of Aravalli Hills rises to an elevation of 1772 m and is 16 km away from Mount Abu. Raghunathji Temple is also worth seeing over this place. In this temple, one can find the footprints of Swami Ramanath, who was a famous sage of his time. The temple of Mata Anasuya, mother of Lord Dattatreya, is also a major attraction for devotees.

2. DILWARA

Situated in Sirohi District, Ser is the second highest peak of Rajasthan. This peak is located at a height of 1442 m. Like Guru Shikhar, this peak is also located in Mount Abu. Delwara is also the land of renowned temples. It boasted over 1500 temples at one time, out of which there were over 400 Jain Temples. Delwara was the center of learning and culture before the 15th century AD. While you are there, you can explore so many things and know about culture and heritage as well.

3. MOUNT ABU

Since most of the peaks of Rajasthan are located in Sirohi District, this peak is located there as well. Mount Abu is located at a height of 1225 m. This peak is referred to as an “Oasis in the Desert” as it offers a panoramic view of waterfalls, evergreen forests, lakes, and rivers. The Arbuda Mountains region is said to be the original abode of the famous guru like Guru Vashishtha. He performed a Yajna at the peak of Mount Abu. Mount Abu is the only hill station in the Land of Desert. This mountain is home to many Hindu Temples. Devotees and travelers in large numbers visit here every year. A 3 to 4-day trip is enough to cover the major attractions of this place and the places nearby.

4. ACHALGARH PEAK

This peak is located at the height of 1380 m. in the Sirohi District. There is also an ancient Achleshwar Mahadev temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple has an interesting mythological story attached to it so I suggest you hire a local guide who makes you aware of everything. From this temple, there is an uphill climb of about 15 mins and one reaches a decent height to get a panoramic view of the Abu hills. One can also hire jeeps from the car parking to get to the top. There is also a Jain temple located at the hilltop. The white marble structure looks magnificent on the peak.

5. BAIRATH PEAK

Bairath Peak is located in Jaipur. It is located at the height of 704 m. Bairath is home to many historically important structures, which belong to Maurya, Mughal, and Rajput periods. Of all the excavations done so far, the remains of the circular Buddhist temple are the most important ones. This place is also famous for the Banganga Fair, which is held on the full moon day of Vaishakh (April-May) every year. 6. BABAI PEAK

Baibai is a town in the Jhunjhunu District of Rajasthan. This peak is named after the name of the town and is located at a height of 780 m. It is located in the foothills of the Aravali mountain range at 420 meters above sea level. It has a fort with a moat surrounding it.
